Welcome, I'm Robert (Rob) Wijers.
After 40 years in the IT world and an MSc in my pocket, I took early retirement. But quitting? That's not in my DNA. I continue to share my passion for technology in three ways that energise me: as a volunteer at PUM, as a sparring partner for IT managers, and by making educational videos.

I am a hands-on ICT expert and former senior lecturer with over 40 years of international experience in IT management and digitalization. As a PUM volunteer, I support SMEs and schools in improving their digital processes, educational approach and organisation.
My specialization lies in fast and practical analysis, process improvement, KPI development and the implementation of affordable ICT solutions, including training, processes, cybersecurity and change management.
As a PUM volunteer, I help entrepreneurs in developing countries to grow their businesses using my IT skills,
I make videos in which I explain complex IT topics in an understandable way.

For fun, challenging, short-term projects, I am available to realize improvements together with IT managers.
Why ??
Even as a young boy, I wanted to become a teacher. I eventually realised that dream at Novi University of Applied Sciences, where, for the past four years, as a senior lecturer, I have been showing students how management and IT work together.
But why should I stop now? Forty years’ worth of knowledge is far too valuable to be tucked away in a drawer. Teaching is in my blood, whether it’s in a lecture theatre, via a video screen, or somewhere in a developing country.
